Guest Giveaway: Gauche Alchemy

Do you know Gauche Alchemy?

In case you don't let me tell you a few facts about them:

  • Their store offers a unique range of eclectic mixed media, papercrafting products and vintage treasures while
  • their blog houses a brand new, highly talented design team and;

Oh and I almost forgot ...... they'd like to give one of you a full collection of their 'mixedmedia colour kits', because they're generous llike that! During the two years I was on their design team I had a ton of fun sifting through these kits. Here's a few of the projects I added the colourful delights to:
And here's my favourite ever colour kit project - which I made as part of Copy+Paste's handmade gift workshop series '12 Days':Not only have GA put effort into combining lots of fascinating, colour-themed items into thekits, they and their their blog blog readers have been re-naming each kit with its own gauchley appropriate name.

I won't go through them all now but never could I write that I'd been using 'Pink Parts' and 'Banan Hammock' without sniggering to myself. [Like right now!].

With that in mind for you to be in with a chance of winning all 10 of the Gauche Alchemy
Mixed-media colour kits [from
their online store] youwill need to:

  1. Go and visit the colour kits in their section of the Gauche Alchemy ArtFire store here to read through the names.
  2. Then come back here and leave us a comment answering the following question:
  • What would your own colour name be?
  • [Don't worry - it doesn't need to be anything as gauche as 'Pink Parts' - just choose something that suits you and that grabs our attention!].

When you leave your comment below please make sure you're logged in to an online account which links to your blog/details [eg: your Blogger / Typepad etc account] or else leave us an email address so we can contact you if you're our winner.

Closing date for entries is 23:00 [GMT] on Sunday 16th May and we'll announce the winners ASAP afterwards.

Good luck!

Julie :)

Ha! Love the "Lady Marmelade" - a posh, French version of the word Marmalade too...

Mine would be "Yay! It's Yellow!", because, well, it absolutely, has to be, should always be... just yellow!

Thanks for the chance to win a prize!

Oooo I love to play with unusual bits and pieces, these kits are divine! I think mine would be called Summer Medley. I live for the summer and all things that are happy and bright.

Ooh I love Gauche Alchemy stuff. The 'wedding night' collection caught my eye, but my own colour name would be 'peacock petals' because I love pretty shades of blue & green.

All of those kits are so yummy, thanks for the chance to win a fab prize, I got a bit carried away with this one & came up with Plumtastic Pudding for deep purples, damsons & golds. Passionately Pink - for all things pink. Blackcherry Chocolate - for the rich colours of a Black Forest Gateaux & Everafter Evergreen for sparkly green colours :)

Wowser, super cool store. I'm bookmarking!

My color lately can be described as "Coral Floral".

To explain (here is when you find out I'm not good at describing colors) it is a color which isn't red enough, isn't pink enough and isn't orange enough - but a magnificent mix of all the above.

Hmm... I guess mine would be Pink Perversion cos i'm a bit dirty-minded and i'm always making dirty jokes!

What a great idea! I've been scrapping lots of pics of a trip to Borneo recently, using lots of lush greens, and bright oranges and yellows, so I guess my colour would be 'Jungle Fever' :oD

I love pale blues and lilacs at the moment and as I have been scrapping my caravan photos I think I'd call it Caravan Cool!

Oooh, kinda loving the retro stylings of the ACME kit. If there's a kit that could be made up of that luscious hot pink then I'd like to call it 'Campervan Candy.'

Hmmm that's a good question, I think the weather is influencing me so it would have to be perfectly purple ... the colour of my favourite wooly scarf!

Noticing there's no metallic pack... so... Bling It On! :D

Actually can I change mine, think Colour Bomb is more me. My wardrobe is full of bright and/or patterned clothes so I think that's more appropriate for me.

Great store! My suggestion would be 'Zing went the strings of my heart' - lots of hot, bright, zingy colours - lime green, hot pink, bright yellow and orange, turquoise ...

I'm more of a neutral kind of gal. I like my browns and creams and soft colours. It kind of reminds me of desserts so it would probably be something like 'Chocolate Gateau'

I LOVE all the existing kits and names for them, but MY kit would be a variety of all of the colors, a literal rainbow of delights, and I'd call it "Crazy Lady" :)
